Built in New Zealand, the Snolo ($2,999) is a high performance snow sled.
Over the past 6 years, engineers have had one thing in mind – speed. By analyzing previous mechanics of sleds, they’ve found that adding weight made the sleds go fast – well they took a different approach. To them, speed equals less friction + aerodynamics – and it worked.
By making the sled from carbon fiber, not only did they get less friction, but they made it extremely light – weighing it at only 9 pounds.
So how fast can this go? It’s been clocked to go over 40 mph!
