FitBit Flex

fitbit-flex-review

Going head to head with Nike+ Fuelband and the Jawbone UP, newcomer FitBit takes aim at the wristband monitor market with their own device – The FitBit Flex ($100).

Made from soft plastic, the Flex can be easily worn for long periods of time without getting annoyed – a HUGE plus for wristband monitors.

Taking the minimal approach, they purposely didn’t include a monitor/screen. Using only lights as the indicators, they relieved the Flex of unnecessary weight. To access the information simply pair it, via Bluetooth, to any smarthphone enabled device.

By including a sensor that knows when you’re asleep (Jawbone UP lacks this feature), and a vibrating alarm (Fuelband lacks this feature) the Flex seems to be the best of both worlds. Being a new company, they are showing a lot of maturity with their device!
